Dear Student Leaders,
On behalf of Undergraduate Student Government at The University of Akron, I am honored to extend a formal invitation to all of the members of your organization to attend the sixth annual Ohio Student Government Summit on Saturday, February 9th, 2019 from 9 am to 3 pm at The University of Akron. OSGS will provide your members with the opportunity to share ideas and network with student governments across the state of Ohio and the Midwest.
We have extended invitations to universities located in Ohio and across the Midwest in hopes that they too will join the conversation. In the past, we have hosted more than 600 students who represented numerous student governance groups.
The 2019 edition of OSGS will feature a keynote speaker, among other speakers, and various breakout sessions, culminating in a round-table discussion of how student governments can make a positive impact on their campus, students, and community. A detailed agenda as well as information on the keynote speaker will be released at a later date.
The cost is $25 per person if you register before our preregistration deadline on Sunday, December 16th, 2018. After that, the standard registration fee is $35. The standard and final registration deadline is Friday, February 1st, 2019. The registration fee covers the cost of your conference materials, breakfast, lunch, and an ice cream networking social that immediately follows the event. To help with planning your trip to The University of Akron, we will be sending a copy of the tentative schedule including breakout sessions and a list of hotels near campus that offer university discounts should you choose to travel to Akron the day before or spend the evening in Akron.
